Sarah Chen
Founder & Principal
Sarah Chen founded Superior Communications after two decades leading technology transformations at Fortune 500 companies and scaling startups. Her unique perspective comes from straddling both worlds—the rigorous engineering culture of enterprise technology and the pragmatic, get-it-done mentality of the Midwest.
She began her career in Milwaukee, cutting her teeth on manufacturing systems at a time when "digital transformation" meant convincing leadership that email was worth the investment. Since then, she's led AI and machine learning initiatives across industries—healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, and private equity.
What drives Sarah is the gap she sees between what AI can do and what organizations actually achieve. "The technology isn't the hard part," she says. "The hard part is everything around it—culture, process, governance, and the patience to do it right."
Sarah holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. She serves on the advisory boards of two AI startups and is a frequent speaker on practical AI implementation.
She still lives in Milwaukee with her family, and yes, she does own a cheesehead. It's worn without irony.
